“Many of us seem to have an endless to-do list. But does all that rushing around stop us from seeing the big picture? Taking a moment to step back from our day-to-day schedules can help us simplify our lives… and maybe even help us to identify what we are missing to keep us energized and fulfilled.” – David Zerfoss
That’s Because It’s Empty
A little girl went up to her mother one day while holding her stomach saying, “Mommy, my stomach hurts.” Her mother replied, “That’s because it’s empty, you have to put something into it!” She then prepared a bowl of soup.
Later that day when the pastor and his wife were over for dinner. The pastor began to feel bad. Holding his head he said, “I have such a terrible headache!” The little girl looked up at him, giving him the sweetest smile that any little child could give. Then she said, “That’s because it’s empty, you have to put something into it!”
Don’t Follow Limited Visions
“Many people deny themselves the pleasure of living life to the
fullest because they follow limited visions. They dream modest dreams,
so they compile modest achievements. The limiting factor is not their
capacity to achieve, but their willingness to believe in themselves.” –

Ten Big Mistakes People Make

- Blaming your problems on something or someone else.
- Thinking maturity “happens” overnight and at an early age.
- Believing nobody understands you.
- Letting others tell you who you are.
- Thinking one failure means you’re a total failure.
- Measuring your self-worth by how often you date or your married status.
- Believing you can get away with anything.
- Letting one rejection defeat you.
- Refusing to learn from your mistakes.
One More Act of Kindness
“A person struggles, you help. A door needs to be opened. You open it. A piece of trash is in your path. You pick it up and throw it away. A child needs some extra attention. You give it. A job needs to be completed. You do it. One more act of kindness a week will add 52 moments of inspiration to your year. Push it to two a week and you add more than one hundred. Imagine the possibilities.” – Sam Parker
