Lord, I can’t help but wonder about the platypus.

It looks like you had a bunch of animal parts left over after creating everything, and just stuck them all together – duck-bill, beaver-tail, otter-foot, lays egg, lives in water, breathes air.

It’s a pretty fantastic animal that illustrates how creative you can be with whatever you have laying around.

So, Lord, we trust that you will take all of the broken pieces of our lives, the heart aches, the mis-matched socks, and all the things about us that just don’t seem to fit – please take all of this and make something amazing out of us just like you did the Platypus.

Thanks for being amazing and for creating and recreating us.
